Review of the 2022 racing season
The team around Nico Müller and Dev Gore will be supported by Augsburg Airways in the 2022 season. By sponsoring the DTM drivers, Augsburg Airways made it possible for passengers to visit Team Rosberg’s team truck and pit during the DTM race.
DTM-Break for Team Rosberg
Unfortunately, the DTM 2023 will take place without Team Rosberg. This is the second time since the team was founded in 1994 that the squad is sitting out. But the squad around team boss Kimmo Liimatainen sees no chance of being able to contest the DTM in a way that makes sporting and economic sense.
For this year, Team Rosberg is trying to recapture the title in Extreme E. They are also exploring possible new fields of activity in GT racing.
The DTM
The DTM is a racing series for competition cars derived from a production car. The series, which has been held since 2000, was started as the German Touring Car Masters and is the successor to the German Touring Car Championship, which was discontinued at the end of 1996, or the international version ITC. Since 2005, only the “brand” DTM has been used in the DMSB regulations as well as in official communications of the rights holder and marketer ITR.
